ENS & ESI

From the very first days of life, our puppies begin a gentle, science-backed program that builds confident, resilient, well-adjusted dogs. Here's what that looks like.

Early Neurological Stimulation

ENS — "The Bio Sensor Program"

Developed by the U.S. military to produce more capable working dogs, ENS introduces tiny, controlled stimulations during a critical window of rapid neurological growth — days 3 through 16 of life. Each puppy is handled individually, once a day, through five gentle exercises lasting only seconds each:

Tactile stimulation between the toes
Head held gently upright
Head pointed gently downward
Supine (resting on its back)
Thermal stimulation on a cool, damp surface

The documented benefits are remarkable: stronger heart rates, greater tolerance to stress, stronger adrenal glands, more resistance to disease, and a calmer, more adaptable temperament for life.

Early Scent Introduction

ESI — Building a Curious Nose

Alongside ENS, we introduce a new scent each day from days 3 through 16 — herbs, spices, grass, leather, wool, and more. We watch how each puppy reacts, encouraging curiosity and engagement. Early positive exposure to a wide world of smells helps puppies grow into confident dogs with strong scenting ability, which is wonderful for everything from therapy work to simply being a calm, curious family companion.

And it doesn't stop there

Puppy Culture & Beyond

After the ENS and ESI window closes, our puppies move into the Puppy Culture curriculum — structured socialization, sound and surface exposure, early crate and potty foundations, and gentle handling — so they arrive home confident, curious, and ready to bond.
